I totally get them!

My oh my, I am really waaay behind when it comes to the latest trends! I just discover the existence of Talking Friends. And this song is so cute! I get "kilig" over these two. When you get someone, and they totally get you, ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam diba?! Lakas maka LSS ng kantang 'to. hehe. Happy singing!

Crazy people we can make really good friends
That’s why we let each other in
You beside me, I never have to pretend to be stronger
I finally belong here and I don’t feel alone anymore

You get me
And I get you
Together there’s really nothing we can’t do
I got your back
And I got yours too
Ya – You get me
And I’m pretty sure that I get you

Du do ru ru ru
Du do ru ru ru
Du do ru ru ru

On the inside I dreamed that I was part of a crowd
But on the outside I wasn’t allowed
All I wanted is just to be where we are now
Ya, it’s better
And I know I never feel alone anymore

You get me
And I get you
Together there’s really nothing we can’t do
I got your back
And I got yours too
Ya – You get me
And I’m pretty sure that I get you

I finally have someone to lean on
You have someone to lean on too (to lean on too)
Oh oh

You get me
And I get you
Together there’s really nothing we can’t do
I got your back
And I got yours too
Ya – You get me
And I’m pretty sure that I get you

You get me (you get me)
And I get you (yeah)
Together there’s really nothing we can’t do
I got your back
And I got yours too
Ya – You get me
And I’m pretty sure that I get you

Du do ru ru ru
Du do ru ru ru
Du do ru ru ru

I’m pretty sure that I get you
Du do ru ru ru
Yeah yeah

Weekly Dose of FB

I DISCOVER that when I really committed (as in really really committed) to something, I am able to achieve it. This is about my weekly dose of FB usage. It felt like that it had become my master rather than me mastering it. I became a stalker of some sort when my former days were always about nosing around about my friends' businesses. There were nights I stay up late just to make sure I don't miss any posts. Then I make that New Year's resolution. I want to commit myself to it. Down to the last line.

Just one day in a week. I allowed myself to open my account. It's not easy at first. But I want this. Now, I'm immune to the power of it. Even if wifi is on all the time at our house. Even if Ipad is lying around the house. I am not tempted to "peek". Now there's no urgency or the slightest hinge to be the slave that I was. No need to know EVERYTHING and be up to date. I know more by knowing less. And by sharing less it makes me value what I have more. It's crazy but that's just me. That's how I want to operate my life from now on.

Hi! My name is Joyce. I WAS an FB addict. Thank you. But now I am healed! :D

Read Before Watch

And now that I finished reading the Hunger Games book, I'm ready to watch the movie! I know I'm a year late but hey, its better late than never, right?

For some reason, I prefer books more than movie in terms of story. Coz ya know movies can't show everything that's written in the book. They cannot show what the characters are thinking exactly. They cannot depict the page by page representation of the book, really. So I make it a point to read it first before I watch the movie adaption of it.

I've been reading this past weeks. (yey!) Just finished the Fifty Shades trilogy, and currently reading the second book of Hunger Games which is Catching Fire. I love my Ipad so much! I can read my ebooks easily here. (plus i can blog here too) Ebooks are my addiction right now. Its convenient and practical for me. True that nothing beats the joy of reading a real book, keeping and collecting it. But compare to prices, ebooks are much more cheaper and sometimes I can download it free. Ah well, when I have a budget, I promise to buy at least one book quarterly. But for now, ebook it is.

If I don't get too lazy, I'll try to write if the Hunger Games movie lives out to how wonderful and beautifully writen the book is. Until then, booklover joycie is signing off. :)

Hong Kong Disneyland

Do you know the place they called "Happiest Place on Earth"? Well, my family and I, we've been there last November. I say, we were all kids on that day!

I would not start this post by describing every corner of this place. Because we we're not a very good tourist and didn't do the right thing a tourist should be. We didn't even got the chance to see the Flights of Parade. (I'll never be a travel blogger!) and we didn't even have a pictures with Mickey and Minnie at the entrance. We were there the whole day and yet there's so much more to see. One day is not enough to explore the whole place. I swear, time stood still while we were there. I was shocked when I looked at my watch that we've been there for almost 6 hours when I feel like we've just arrived. And when I did realize that time was running out, that's when I explore like a maniac. Making the most of what we can enjoy with our remaining time.

We save the best ride of the night - The Big Grizzly Mountain, Runaway Mine Cars! Oh yeah! After riding this I felt camaraderie to everyone who is there and especially to Gian whom I shared a sit. We were all laughing and exhilarated after this ride. You know whats so funny about this ride is that I don't have any clue what to expect. My nephew warned me its like a roller coaster but I thought they were joking and just scaring me. I'm tougher than I look noh! It's not as scary and worse as that of a real roller coaster and not as boring as that of carousel. Its exciting. So try this one when you're in Disneyland. Other rides, I rode for the benefit of the little one.

BTW, this trip would not possible if not for my ate's family. She never tells us they were going home to take a vacation. And she didn't want to tell us we we're going to Disneyland if we didn't persuade her! More of FORCED her to tell us what is that big surprise that is written in her itineraries. hehe. They are the master of all surprises and they succeeded in surprising us nonetheless. But its no secret that we went to Disneyland to celebrate the first birthday of our one and only princess - Nyanne! Our luck that Yeng's first birthday theme is Minnie Mouse. How fitting to celebrate it at Disneyland!

I'm not done yet, the concluding and awaited part is the moment where my son cries a lot! Haha! The fireworks! He doesn't like the loud noise and not use to all excited people. But that amazing fireworks with the fairy tale music in front of the Fantasyland? MA.GI.CAL!

Almost done, we went back to our hotel with our face flush with smiles and giggles. Ah, how nice it is to be transported back into childhood. Where magic, and fairies and happy ever after do exist. It is indeed a happy place to be! The only thing that makes it the happiest? My family! Uhhh, so, when will the Tokyo Disneyland be? 2nd Birthday? 7th Birthday?

Jump shot at Hong Kong Disneyland - check!

Back Again

If my blog has feelings, it would have been very upset with me. Its not like i dont have time to write. Or dont have story to write. Its just that i felt lazy and sort of uninspired. The one thing that is close to my heart and yet i somewhat deliberately ignored for the past 2 months. And for what? For facebook who is not even productive? For facebook who sometimes lets me down? For facebook who is full of crap and facade? Oh yeah you would be mad at me for sticking out with facebook when we can both have a marvelous time together.

My dear neglected blog, i am so sorry. Let me make it up to you, by promising to write more honestly to you. No more posts that i think would direct more readers to me. To hell with that. Im tired with that. From now on, I wont write for others. I'll write for myself. Let's start this year with that.

Bully in all of us

People seems drawn to drama. Or a story of  good vs evil? Or heroes and villains? However we look at it we looove to crucify and make fun of the villain/s in the story. We've seen a lot of them in real life. This time it's about this girl who bully a lady guard. I'm sure you have watched it but if not, turned on your tv, it might be still on local news.

I totally agree she is rude. After all, the lady guard already said she's sorry. Sorry for doing her job of confronting the girl in entering a wrong way? Somebody is being overacting all right. But as much as I want to dwell on that and put hatred things on the girl, I think the third party (tayo yun mga kapatid) on this incident should kept mum about the issue. Let us not do the same mistake the girl did: Bullying someone! It's enough she had her 5 minutes fame in the news field. Wag na nating palakihin by making a Group that hate her, or making photo captions of her, just dont make a big deal out of this.

I don't like bullying. But the moment I open my mouth and say derogatory words against someone, I am violating that rule. Worse, the comments were publicized. So what say you, who chose to post uncessary and hurtful comments to the girl? Seems like a clear case of double standard. Ok lng pg tayo manlait sa iba pero pg iba ang gumagawa nun, todo lait tayo?

There's a bully in all of us. But don't let it rule your life.
