OPPO F1s Selfie Filter

I've been wanting to have a new cellphone for a loooong while now. Nowadays, a nifty smartphone can spell the big difference in your everyday life. But being a teacher of many responsibilities and expenses, buying the latest smartphone is something I don't have the privilege of. I have to weigh all the pros and cons: the camera specifications, the memory capacity, the design, and most importantly - the price! before I consider it "THE ONE." Hehe. Every tiny detail counts. Scouring the market, I think I found just what I need without breaking my bank account: an OPPO F1s! Why I want an OPPO F1s cellphone? Well, let me count the ways:

1. CAMERA SPECS. It has 16MP front camera and 13MP rear camera! It's not called Selfie Expert for nothing! LOL. I'm already sold with this but if that's not enough for you, well, read on on what this phone has to offer. (Click on the image to enlarge)

This phone can also capture wonderful night shots. (I wish I have this phone when the Supermoon happened.)

This phone also features Selfie Panorama so no one will be left behind in the selfie!

Speaking of selfies, OPPO F1s has plug-ins and filters that will enhance any photos. They have: Café,
Bright, Candy, Shine, Soft, Fade, and Mono. I'll probably use the Bright filter because I take pictures indoor most of the times.

2. MEMORY CAPACITY. It has 3GB RAM and octa-core 64-bit processor. Whoa! With so many apps having a fast processor is a necessity.

3. PRICE. Right now OPPO F1s is P12,990 at Lazada. With all the things it can do, I think it's reasonably priced.

4. DESIGN. The design is candy to the eye. Right now they have Gold, Rose Gold, Grey.  But now OPPO F1s is available in a limited edition space gray color. How cool is that?

OPPO F1s is really a value for the money! And yes, since it’s 28 days before Christmas, this will be a great Christmas gift for yourself or for someone dear to you!

The Start of My Stock Market Journey

As I was checking my stock market investment today, I was surprised to see that my money gained 13.27%. Wooow!!! To put it more bluntly, my money earned P4,463! Just wow! You'll never see that in any bank. I've only been investing for few months but I am very please with the outcome. How much more if I've been investing for years?! Right? But how did my stock market journey started? Here is my story behind it:

Few months after I've given birth, I came upon a book by Bo Sanchez that encouraged me to be financially free. There I was jobless and exhausted and when I read the book, it made me hopeful. If Bo Sanchez's maid can invest in stock market, there is no excuse that I cannot do it.

This book is an easy read. I was so inspired and wanted to start investing right away. But I knew I have to have a steady source of income first. Which I don't have the liberty to do so at that time. (I made a promise that I won't work full time until Riley is 4 years old.) So I told myself that when the right time comes that I can work full time, the first thing that I will do is open an account in COLFinancial. That was 2010.

Fast forward to 2015. I knew I wanted to be a teacher, I did my best during the demo and was lucky enough to be hired as a Secondary public teacher. I was employed June 2nd. September I was able to receive my first ever paycheck! And come October I made that promise into reality. I ask my friends Grace and Roselyn to accompany me at COL Financial's office. Rose has already opened an account there so she was very helpful and super supportive of my decision. I was not kidding when I told her that she is my personal financial adviser! hehe. I really learned a lot from her. I am so blessed to have friends like them so thank you guys!

COL Financial office is located at:
Unit 2401-B, East Tower,
Philippine Stock Exchange Centre,
Exchange Rd., Ortigas Center 1605

All smiles :) Thank you Rose and Grace!

And now 9 months after investing in Stock Market, I can say that I really made a good decision! I'm happy with the company that I already have stocks with, I'm happy that my hard earned money is already growing, and I'm happy that it's making me financially secure not just for my future but for my son's future as well. I know it's a looong way before I reap bigger results but I am motivated to continue investing a portion of my salary in stock market.

I hope I inspire some of you to invest too. It's a risky move but if you do as Bro. Bo advises, the result is astounding. You'll never regret it. But, that's just me saying. It's really up to you. If you do decide on it and you need help, feel free to ask me! I hope I could be of help in any way.

Ciao! :)

Denim Dress Refashion

Denim dresses are in right now. And that's what I planned to do with this dress, only I wanted it sans the sleeves.

First, I remove the sleeves,

Then I sew in one and a half inch on each sides to have that fitted feel of the dress.

Finally, it's ready!

Feelin' Blue

I have a confession to make. I love Ukay-ukay! There is always the possibility of finding something wearable for a fraction of its price. Yun lng tyaga tyaga sa paghalukay! Hehe. But this blue long sleeve didn't take me long to find. As soon as I found it in the pile of clothes in our local ukay, I knew I can make a good ol' sleeveless from it!

A closer look. I love the lace and the polka dots details.

 First I unstitched the sleeves,

Then patterned it to to my other clothes to make sure it will fit me.

Sewing the sleeves,

Then the side. I took in 1.5 inches.

 And some finishing touches.

I wore it to the baptismal of my cute niece Athena!

Ciao!

Ama's Polo

Sometimes, it's hard to let go of things. But change is inevitable. We must move forward. We must evolve. Well, this refashion is nothing out of ordinary. But this polo is my father's. So it's very special to me. My father died last 2015 and he had many polos and tshirts that are just now collecting dust in the storage. So I'm planning to refashion them, one clothe at a time. My brother didn't want me to. But I know in my heart, my father would love the idea of his clothes being reused. Kumbaga, yung alaala nya hindi mawawala dahil sa mga damit na ito. So expect more refashion from my ama's closet. I hope I do justice with them. My first polo of his to refashion is this:

First I cut the sleeves.

Then sew the sides.

I thought it's ready but it's a little short.

So I cut strips of fabric (from the sleeves that I cut earlier) and sew it to the bottom.

Finally it's ready to wear.

Habang buhay ko maaalala ang ama, suot ko man ang damit nya o hindi.

My Own Version of LBD

Every lady needs a Little Black Dress, agree? The problem is I couldn't find the right fit nor the right design I like and most importantly, the right price! Sobrang mahal ng dress sa Zalora! So I decided to make one so I can wear it at the reception at my friend's wedding.

First, I bought a Blue Corner XL black tshirt. Price: P120

and I have this lace-y cover up way back when. Price: P75

I cut the neckline and sleeves of the black tshirt and the lace like this:

Then I just sew them together.

And then sew the sides to fit my "sexy" body! Totally kidding! Lol.

And I was able to wear it at Roselyn and Richard's awesome wedding. With my awesome date, Riley.

Ciao!

Total cost of my LBD: P195.00

Kidzoona, A Child's Dream Place

Do you have kids? If you're from Malolos and you have kids, I am pretty sure that you've heard of a place called Kidzoona! Kidzoona is an indoor fantasy park at Robinson Malolos and is operated by Aeon Fantasy Group, a Japan-based company. A little info, the name Kidzoona is combination of the words “kid” and “kizuna“, a Japanese word that means the bond between a parent and a child. Nice huh?! In a way, Kidzoona is really a place where Riley and I can bond and be silly and spend some QT together. There are actually 700 branches of Kidzoona in Asia. Imagine how many happy kids they are able to entertain! And one of them is my son Riley.

We've been at Kidzoona a lot of times, but for Riley, it's always the same feeling of excitement that you would think it's his first time! I don't know what it is about Kidzoona that makes a little edge on other playground/park, but I guess it's the different activities that one can do here. He was running around, jumping, hopping from one corner to another, sliding, and playing to his heart's content. In short being a kid in the real sense! It's amazing how one place can bring so much joy to my boy. It is both educational and enjoyable at the same time. The place is also safe as I can watch and observe him. Fun and safety?! As a mom, that is all I'm asking for! SO this place is a yes in my book. Here are the following things that Riley had fun doing the last time we were here:

Riley's first stop - the giant wheel! Weeee......

Next is the building blocks section. Way back when he was just a little dude, he had always been fascinated with building blocks. Here at Kidzoona it's double triple the fun!
♪♫Everything is cool when you're part of a team!♪♫

Then there is the Role Play Town where one can be a sushi maker, a cook, a doctor, an ice cream vendor, a florist, and you can even sell vegetables at a very affordable price!

Me: How much po ung vegetables ko? Riley: 200 thousand dollars!

After getting tired being all that, he gleefully move on to the Toy Corner. There are trains, doll houses, all sorts of puzzles, musical toys and other educational toys! Just what a smart kid needs.

And if the toys and the role playing is not enough, there is the BIG pool of balls that any kid and kid-at-heart could not resist! Look at the man in the right :)

Quick Riley! Take a picture of mama! Nainggit ako sa lalake kaya papicture din ako! hahaha

Add to that giant pool of balls are the inflatable slides, a bouncy inflatable play area, and a sort of pirate ship playground where one can climb and slide too.

He got lucky and chanced upon with Lala Chan, Kidzoona's mascot.

One hour is not enough for this kid. But his time is up and I told him, another day again. We will be back before you know it! It is really a dream place for kids!
